It is once again the time of year
When my phone starts buzzing,
With philosophical messages of life & joy Forwards with terrible graphics and typo, From family and acquaintances. So this year I saved myself Way before it all started I just switched off my phone.
Every new year eve reminds me Of the fake world we live in. The effortless effort to text Impersonal messages pretending to care Even more strange, as it is okay to do so. Its funny that people pick a day To wish happiness to anyone Without knowing how well they are I hope the world become a better place I hope every mouth is fed I hope there is less suffering I hope there is more kindness and love I hope there be more truth in people I hope one day we are truly free Then I guess it will be okay To wish anyone a happy new year
