Artist Residency
Moonware Creative Expressions Artist Residency's aim is to provide an open platform where creative minds can meet and unfold their ideas. Residents can stay and work in a peaceful atmosphere away from their usual environment, routines and accustomed distractions. Artists are encouraged to collaborate and experiment to broadens everyone’s experiences and fosters art appreciation.
Moonware Creative Expressions Artist Residency's hosts artists during the month of February, April, May, September, October & November each year, with accommodations available for up to 4 residents at one time.
Artists of all disciplines, creating in any media are welcome to apply. Researchers, curators, and art critics are also welcome to apply.
Open to emerging and established artists.
Moonware Creative Expressions Studio will provide:

Kannur is a small town. There can be power issues and internet failures once in a while.
Accommodation consists of 4 different choices :

Private room with attached bathroom

Single room with common bathroom
-
Bedroom with attached bathroom (sharing basis with one other)

Bedroom with common bathroom (sharing basis with one other)
Application criteria:
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, artists will be selected subject to motivation, work sample and availability.
If accepted:

Applicants will be notified by email. A non-refundable deposit of 2000 INR will be required to book the applicant’s spot.

An official invitation letter can be sent upon request of the applicant.
Artist responsible for:
-
1500 INR Residency fee per month
-
Keeping given premises clean
-
Removing all artwork and all belongings from premises before they leave.

Art materials

Travel and medical insurance
-
Artists are responsible for travel, visa, materials, entertainment, food costs, and insurance.

Artists should arrange his/hers own insurance to cover any possible accident, loss or damage (including but not limited to health insurance and general liability insurance) during their stay in India.

Moonware Creative Expressions will not be liable for any loss, theft or damage and provides no insurance covering any work, equipment or materials belonging to any user.
Eviction Clause
Misuse or damage of the property in any form will not accepted.
