Artist Studio in Kannur, Kerala is an all in one space that aims to provide an open platform where creative minds can meet and unfold their ideas. It is also a place where students of all caliber come to learn from the artist herself.

Artist Gallery is the part of the artist residence. The artist works in this space, and exhibits her work here. Other artists, and those who book for artist residency may hire this place to display their work too.
Artist Residency on the other had gives any artist the opportunity to book, stay and work in a peaceful atmosphere away from their usual environment, routines and accustomed distractions. Artists are encouraged to collaborate and experiment to broaden everyone’s experience and fosters art appreciation.

Bookings are subjected to one artist at a time. Exceptions granted for artists collaborating together etc. Check with studio prior booking. Those visiting can use only the ground floor. Please note that there are 2 cats that live on the top floor along with me and may visit you at times. Also note you will be sharing my home and will not be completely isolated.

About Me
Ms.Priya Jayanand is the founder/creative director/artist at Moonware Creative Expressions. She was born into a family of artists in South India in the year 1980. In the year 2004 she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts. During her 3rd year in college she won the National Award for logo design recognized by the former late Indian President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. She designed the present logo of University Grants Commissions (UGC). After completing degree in applied arts she joined commercial art industry. For ten years she worked as graphic designer, brand project leader, art director, creative head for agencies and branding studios in India and the United Arab Emirates.
In 2015 returned to India and registered Moonware Creative Expressions as her sole proprietorship, the brand name under which she continues to work. A brand consultant for many selective clients internationally but a pure artist at heart. She focuses on traditional art, experiments with various mediums and teaches to those who require professional guidance in the field or visual arts. She also teaches as guest lecturer at some esteemed colleges in India.

She still takes up online brand consulting for genuine international clients through Garlic Design, Bahrain. But her interest mainly resides in making her residence in Kannur, Kerala into a fully functioning artist residency for artist from all over the world.
